ETHNO, CHILL-OUT, AMBIENT, ELECTRONIC, GROOVES, PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE-FUSION MUSIC AND VISUAL PERFORMANCE
This year the band celebrates 25 years of existence and they start with a complete line-up: Ivan Jasek: leader, guitar synthesizer, vocals, samplers, didjeridoo, djembe, fujara, percussion Edgar Mojdl: keyboards, flutes, whistles, samplers, ghatam. Tomas Plšek: drums, drum sampler. David Kopecny: bass guitar. They leaned even more into the electronic scene with dense bass lines and rich rhythms, traditionally connected by many sound frequencies up to hypnotic trance. They are also preparing a new concert line - when the situation allows it.
The music group Shivanam is a multi-genre band which draws inspiration from world and ethno music and combines it with modern styles like chill-out, ambient, electronic music, dub, downtempo and trance.
The Shivanam was founded in 1998 and has cooperated with many musicians and bands. Although some of the abovementioned now run their own projects, they still perform with the Shivanam as special guests.
Currently the group has three members. During performances you can hear a variety of music instruments. The music itself is a fusion of classical and traditional instruments (acoustic guitar, pipes, percussion, drums, shaman drums, Tibetan bowls, shenai, voices) as well as modern ones (electric guitar, keyboards, samplers, sound effects).
Video projection, dancers and fire show makes the music experience deeper.
Shivanam has released two albums, Sound of Energy (2013) and Shivanam Live (2010). 3. album Shivaspace Experience (label Cosmicleaf Records 2019) 4. album Viral Shroom 2021 (Cosmicleaf Records) singles: With Zero Cult (Cosmicleaf Records) and with Chronos 2 singles (label Mystic Sound).
In last years, Shivanam performed live at numerous festivals and parties for example Colours of Ostrava 2005, Palace Akropolis (Prague), Festival “Music for Tea“ (Czech Republic), Taranis 2007, Seeds of Love (Czech Republic), Funny Moon, 2008, Moon Tribe Fest (Czech Republic), Cross Club (Prague), HafenGrün Festival 2013, 2014 (Hamburg), TranceCarpathia Gatering 2013 (Ukraine), SZIGED Festival 2011 (Hungary), Transylvania Calling 2012 (Romania), „Live in Cave Balcarka“ 2014 (Czech Republic), Seedscamp 2014 (Austria), Global Chill-out Festival Etnika 2014 (Czech Republic), BOOM Festival 2014 in Portugal, Untold Festival 2015 (Romania).
